Nothing brings a project together like cooperation, experience, and great creative skills. That’s exactly how this project panned out as the Signs By Benchmark team collaborated with JH Signs & Designs, Inc. (Perham, Minnesota) to create an integrated monument sign that harmonizes with an existing building.
Finished in exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS) brick to match the building it was created to advertise, the 143 1/4″ wide x 308″ high x 35 3/4″ deep double-sided monument sports a back-lit tenant board and electronic message center. LED channel letters and custom logo were installed by JH Signs just prior to installation.
“Signs by Benchmark took my concept and turned it into reality,” said Justin Helmke of JH Signs & Designs, Inc. “The concept was to use an LED Channel letter logo on the face and integrate an EMC and tenant cabinet below. The challenge was to make it look like a brick structure while allowing access into the heart of the sign for electrical hook up and maintenance. This project went together seamlessly. I am honestly amazed with every project at how well the pieces just seem to fall together.”

Working from precise brick, stone and grout measurements plus high quality digital photos matching paint chips to existing finishes, the team’s high attention to detail ensures a perfect match or realistic replication every time.
While this project called for matching EIFS brick, the team is equally adept at EIFS stucco, stipple, and various stone finishes such as stacked stone, river rock, and castle stone.
