Elevate any sign cabinet or electronic message center (EMC) with a foam core accent, such as a base, topper or pole cover. Signs By Benchmark is experienced in creating accents that integrate easily and offer a high-end finish without the hassle of real brick or stone. The Signs By Benchmark staff can help match existing structures or add a complementing finish that provides a polished look for any sign project.
With a proven history of successfully replicating finishes while providing a seamless integration, Indigo Signworks contacted our team for a foam-core base that would match the new Veterans Affairs clinic in Watertown, S.D. The 101” wide by 27” deep by 25” tall base complements the building while providing the internal chaseways to attach the sign cabinet which proudly displays the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs brand.
“The ease of mounting has really made our end simple,” said Kirk Ronning of Indigo Signworks. “Signs By Benchmark builds structure into the base itself for us to mount to which eases our install.”
The foam-core base features an EIFS brick finish with a one-color acrylic stucco cap with tapered edges to prevent water and other elements from collecting. The cap features embedded steel for additional structure support and attachment to the Indigo sign cabinet. Installation was a breeze thanks to good communication and preparing for potential barriers to an easy installation.
“We have found that they work very well with anything we make,” said Ronning. “Between our knowledge at Indigo Signworks and Signs By Benchmark, we have been able to be very successful on many projects due to open dialog.”
