| Customizing a sign to suit project needs is what transforms the ordinary into spectacular – both in appearance and ultimate customer satisfaction. In the case of this project, our Signs By Benchmark team collaborated with Design Center Signs of Tyler, Texas to develop a faux wood finish sign that represents both the area culture and end customer’s character.
Designed in the style of a water tower to reflect the country atmosphere of a new restaurant, retail and housing complex, the challenge was to achieve a “wood” sign that would not deteriorate with age. At this point, Design Center Signs turned to Signs By Benchmark for a realistic, hard coated faux wood finish able to withstand the ravages of weather and time. Working with an EPS foam medium, our team handcrafted four components for use by Design Center Signs to assemble the 60″ wide x 120″ high integrated pylon sign on site. Due to the light weight of the components, dressing up a metal frame and surrounding two electronic message centers was a simple task. “We appreciate the attention to detail that Signs By Benchmark manufacturing team has provided for this custom sign project to ensure that the custom finishes matched across different materials,” said Rachel Moore of Design Center Signs. “With Benchmark’s help, we greatly exceeded the expectations of our customer on this build.”
