EIFS Stacked Stone Pole Cover and Cap Add Finish and Majesty to New Sign

EIFS stacked stone sign base and capCreating sign components to beautifully match existing elements is something our Signs By Benchmark team specializes in – which was the case on a collaboration with LeRoy Signs, Inc. of Brooklyn Park, MN.

The installation site featured mature landscaping with columns and multi-tier stacked stone walls. The challenge was to create a matching pole cover and cap for a new sign that would fit in.

That’s when LeRoy signs gave us a call. Traditional materials were out of the question due to weight, labor and cost considerations. What was needed was a pole cover and cap made from lightweight material by artists skilled in creating a product that would match the surrounding stacked stone. Our Signs By Benchmark team and EPS expanded polystyrene foam medium were the perfect choice.

Foam stacked stone sign base and capLeRoy Signs provided high quality digital photos of existing elements and paint samples held against the various shades of original stone. Then our team went to work, assembling and hand sculpting the components into reality. The result was a striking, 101″ wide x 24″ high x 15″ deep EIFS stacked stone pole cover and a cap finished in limestone gray to match caps on existing columns. Long term durablity and protection from elements was ensured by the application of our signature hard coat.

The installed sign stands majestically above the stone walls and columns, providing perfect symmetry while effectively drawing the eye up to its message.
