| Needing a new projecting sign for installation in downtown Fargo, ND, The Toasted Frog restaurant owners called upon Indigo Signworks, also of Fargo. Immediately upon realizing the client wished a genuine wood look and knowing the mechanics of flag mount sign installation, the Indigo team knew exactly who to call for a lightweight sign sporting a realistic ‘wood’ finish: Signs By Benchmark.
The Indigo team provided their design and a steel frame, then the Signs By Benchmark team went to work creating the highly detailed ‘wood’ components to surround the frame before shipping the sign to Indigo for copy placement. CNC cut from expanded polystyrene (EPS), the 56″ wide x 54″ high x 10″ deep double-sided sign was meticulously carved, then hand-painted to accurately replicate beautiful wood grain and texture. “Our client wanted a wood sign and we knew the best method to get a ‘wood’ sign would be through Benchmark,” said Jill Gustofson of Indigo. “The sign turned out great.
